Preparing Images for Cascade

All images in Cascade must be print quality. Print quality standards differ based on the size of an image. The bigger the image, the lower the acceptable dpi.

Images at 300 dpi are always acceptable in Cascade.

Maximum Image Allowance: Images can be no larger than 26.6 x 26.6 inches or 8000 x 8000 pixels at 300 dpi.

Minimum Image Allowance: Minimum image allowance is based on the size of the image. To determine the minimum image allowance, determine the shortest side of your image in inches or pixels and refer to the chart below.

DPI:
DPI (dots per inch) is the pixels per inch used in an image or graphic. DPI is a measure of an image's resolution.

 

 

 

 

Example: Your image is 8 x 10 inches (or 1440 x 1800 pixels).

1. Take the smallest side of the image - which is 8 inches (or 1440 pixels).

2. Look up 8 inches (or 1440 pixels) in the chart below.

3. An image with 8 inches (or 1440 pixels) as the shortest side has a minimum dpi requirement of 180 dpi.
